Vehicle Struck by Metro Exposition Line Train
An accident involving one vehicle and a metro train has left two people injured. According to authorities, a Metro Exposition Line train crashed into a vehicle in South Los Angeles on Friday night at around 8:08 p.m. at the 2600 block of Exposition Boulevard near Seventh Avenue.
While no one on board the train was hurt, the two motorists who were inside the vehicle at the time of the crash were injured and were evaluated at the scene. Train service was temporarily suspended between the Crenshaw and Western train stations.
Accidents between trains and vehicles are quite serious. Often there are injuries for the people in the vehicle, and often the drivers are to blame for the crash. But sometimes a faulty signal can cause someone to get struck by a train because they weren’t warned.
