Police Arrest Man For Allegedly Pimping Teen Girl
Everyone has the same rights under the law in the United States, such as the right to a fair trial. The charges levied against a given person don’t matter in that respect. The one accused of murder has that same right for a fair hearing as does the person fighting a traffic ticket. Sometimes, however, there is a difference between the having a right and the reality of facing those who would rather see that right suppressed for their own purposes. This is why the right defense attorney is so important in criminal proceedings.
Police in San Bernardino have taken a 15-year-old girl into custody, claiming she was engaged in prostitution and arrested her alleged pimp, as well.
Around 7:30 in the evening, vice officers spoke to the teenage girl who was standing on West Base Line with the intent to commit prostitution, according to police sources.
A subsequent investigation found the girl was being forced to work as a prostitute by a 32-year-old man from Moreno Valley, police said. The man was arrested near the site where the girl was apprehended.
The man was put into Central Detention Center in San Bernardino on $150,000 bail and charged with human trafficking and pandering of a minor under 16.
Police say they took the girl to Juvenile Hall.
