Pizza Oven Kills 1 Leaves 3 Others Injured

Media sources report one man lost his life and three people were injured, two of them children, when a large brick pizza oven being towed by a catering van came loose and swerved right into their car.
According to a California Highway Patrol officer, the silver Honda Accord hit by the oven contained two adults and two children. They were waiting to make a turn when their vehicle was hit by the trailer with the pizza oven.
The officer stated the driver of the Honda, an adult male, was killed immediately. A woman and a small boy who were also in the Honda, were taken to a local hospital by ambulance. According to the officer, a young girl who was in the Honda had to be airlifted to Children’s Hospital in Oakland.
The CHP would not release the identities of the people in the Honda or their relationship to each other.
