Lancaster Man Arrested In Connection with ATV Accident

A 38-year-old man was arrested in Lancaster regarding the murder of a man who was killed while operating an all-terrain vehicle.
The accused was arrested after searches were conducted in two unspecified locations in an unincorporated area not far from Lancaster. The deputies and other personnel had warrants to investigate the murder of the ATV-riding victim, a 47-year-old man, also from Lancaster.
The victim was found dead of a gunshot wound in February 2014. According to authorities, the victim’s family reported him missing at 1 in the morning when he did not return from his trip to the desert to ride his vehicle.
Authorities charged the 38-year-old suspect with murder at the Lancaster sheriff’s station, where he was held without bail.
