Woman in Roadway Struck by Car
According to police reports, a woman was struck by a car and later died at the hospital. The information was released by law enforcement via press release.
The police say that Jonathan Romero, 23, of San Bernardino was traveling north on North Lugo Avenue in a 2001 Chevy Tahoe. It was near 2 a.m. when he struck Sonora Men, 23, who was sitting in the roadway. Men was described by witnesses as being possibly intoxicated. She alter died at Loma Linda University Medical Center where she was transported.
Romero was found to be not at fault and will not face any charges, according to police spokesperson Eileen Hards.
