Many Crimes Reported over New Year’s Eve

Alan CleaverThe news is always eager to report on the latest crimes, and the beginning of the New Year was no different. There were a number of crimes that happened to people across San Bernardino County, including a homicide.

A man in Chino was killed and another one sent to the hospital after they were attacked by three assailants near Chino High School on New Year’s Eve. The injured man is suffering from critical injuries at the time the article was written. The police are searching for suspects.

In North San Bernardino, another man was shot outside of a grocery store. A 22-year-old man was arrested in connection with the crime and is being held on $1 million bail. Police say this incident was a hit-and-run that was spotted by a Cal State police officer. A weapon and other evidence were found in the SUV after it was pulled over.

Finally, there were at least seven DUI arrests over New Year’s Eve. Police are planning on cracking down further on drunk drivers, especially during the upcoming Super Bowl Sunday.
