LAPD Officer Killed by Hit & Run Driver
An LAPD officer was killed over the weekend in a hit and run accident. On Tuesday, a 20-year-old man, Mynor Enrique Varela, was arrested in connection with the accident. He was booked on suspicion of murder and is being held without bond.
It is believed that Varela is responsible for the death of Officer Roberto Sanchez and the injuries of his partner, Officer Richard Medina. Just before 4 a.m. Varela’s SUV collided with their patrol car on Anaheim Street in the Harbor City area.

Once help is on the way, look around for witnesses. If anyone else saw the accident, get their name and telephone number.
