Fuel Truck Collides Into Aircraft at Airport
An accident at LAX involving a truck laden with jet fuel has left one person injured and airport officials breathing a sigh of relief. According to authorities, at about 4:50 p.m. a truck carrying jet fuel plowed into a parked airplane at American Airlines Gate 53 at the Los Angeles County Airport.
One person, who might have been the driver of the fuel truck, had to be extricated from the vehicle after crashing into the unoccupied aircraft by the nearly-full fuel truck. The cause of the crash remains under investigation. No charges have been filed.
