Bar Patrons Surprised by Vehicle
Imagine going out for a night on the town with friends. Maybe you took your partner out for dinner and a drink. No matter the exact reasons, you find yourself enjoying a cool California evening in your favorite local establishment. You are enjoying your meal when suddenly you are startled by a loud crash. You look outside to see a vehicle has just struck the building.
That is very close to what happened on February 19 at around 10 p.m. in San Bernardino County. Patrons of the Rock & Brews restaurant heard a crash that was caused, police are saying, by a suspected drunk driver. Luckily, the rains in California caused people to choose to eat inside instead of out on the patio where the car came to a rest. According to a manager at the bar, the patio is filled with people on most nights.
According to reports, a man in his early 20s lost control of his vehicle and crashed onto the patio of the bar that is co-owned by two members of Kiss, Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley. The car ended up on top of two large planters and had to be removed with the cooperation of two tow trucks.
The driver of the car was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving and no patrons were hurt in the crash.
