Auto Accident Breaks Fire Hydrant
An auto accident in Panorama City at the corner of Willis Avenue and Arminta Street caused a fire hydrant to be sheared off.
According to authorities, the hydrant was sheared at approximately 7:45 a.m. sending water gushing some 50 to 60 feet into the air.
Firefighters were at the scene of the accident and Los Angeles Department of Water and Power workers were reported to be en route in order to shut off the hydrant at the time of the report.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
