56 Arrested in Gang Sweep

downloadIn a recent gang sweep in Highland, San Bernardino County sheriff’s officials have said that 56 people were arrested.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office indicated that Friday’s action was an effort to identify and document gang members and prospects as well as attempting to curb gang-related crime in the city.

According to officials, numerous felony charges are being sought against several of those who were arrested in the sweep. The charges include drug possession, drug sales as well as the possession of stolen property.

In the SBSO’s sweep, five stolen vehicles were also seized.

The names of those individuals who were not released pending formal charges.
