2 Women Die in Fiery Crash, Man Arrested for Suspected DUI

Two women were killed when a vehicle struck their sedan from behind, causing it to explode on Interstate 15, a little north of the 91 Freeway, according to the police.
The suspect, a 34-year-old resident of Riverside, was driving a black sedan at more than 100 mph, according to witnesses. He struck a silver Toyota driven by one of the women, at high speed. California Highway Patrol has not yet released the names of the victims.
The driver of the black car suffered only minor injuries and was arrested and jailed. It is likely he will be charged with drunken driving causing bodily injury, as well as gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated. He was held on $75,000 bail.
A 21-year-old male passenger in the black sedan suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Riverside Community Hospital. A second passenger in the suspect’s car, a 26-year-old male of Moreno Valley was uninjured.
